Environmental Services
The oil and gas industry, both upstream and downstream, produce a wide variety of wastes in addition to those produced directly from drilling activity. These will include slops and sludges from various types of storage tank, general waste and contaminated soils. These are just a few of the categories involved. There are many others.
Each of these waste streams will require management if waste hierarchies are to be observed. Reduction of volume / tonnage at source is clearly of critical importance to minimise the amount that needs to be disposed of. For those waste streams remaining every effort needs to be made to ensure that they are either recycled or reused. If neither is possible disposal is the only option remaining and this should be carried out in accordance with the prevailing regulatory requirements and best environmental practice.
TWMA’s Environmental Services team provide all the elements of an effective waste management project and will ensure that from project outset through to completion that the work is carried out in strict compliance with the requirements of the client and existing regulation.
